Summary

Memorize wine categories and other things you should know about wine.

Wine Color

Memorize which wines are whites, reds, and pinks (blushes). Whites and pinks are generally sweeter and more approachable to the uninitiated. Reds tend to be dryer, and are favored by wine connoisseurs.

When choosing a wine to go with a meal, most people agree red wine goes best with red meat, and white wine goes bets with chicken or fish.
