What are the different methodologies for software development?

Question Answer
Waterfallgo from first step (gathering the functional requirements) to the last step (product delivery) and that’s it. No changes, no going back, no checking with the user before the end product. It’s common that the end product becomes very different. Cost is big, and work is slow. Almost no companies use this now.
Agileopposite to waterfall. Can reverse back to any stage, conform with the user very often to make sure the end product is exactly what the user wants.
ScrumHas meetings every day arranged by the scrum master. The master meets the dev team + be an interface with the user.
Spiralis similar to the incremental model (Waterfall)
