Rails 3 or 2?

This page is about version 3. As of April 2010 most people are still using Rails 2 (2.3 or earlier). Note, though, that some of what's on this page is applicable to Rails 2 also.

 

Basic commands

purpose	command
create app	rails new foo
run app	rails s (for "server")
create model	rails g model foo (singular)
create controller	rails g controller foos (plural)
create migration	rails g migration foo
