alpha	heaviest kind
alpha	charge of +2
alpha	penetrates the least
alpha	path is bent slightly by a magnetic field
beta	electron
beta	light but not massless
beta	charge of -1
beta	path is bent the most by a magnetic field
gamma	high energy photon
gamma	massless
gamma	no charge
gamma	penetrates the most
gamma	path is not bent by a magnetic field
