Time Critical Risk Management (TCRM)Level at which personnel operate on a day to day basis (on and off duty). There is little or no time to formulate a plan. ABCD model is used to make quick decisions.
What is the purpose of ORM?Reduce or offset risks by systematically identifying hazards and assessing and controlling the associated risks allowing decisions to be made that weigh risks against mission or task benefits.
4 principles of ORM:4 principles of ORM: 1. Accept Risk when Benefits Outweigh the Cost 2. Accept no unnecessary risk 3. Anticipate and Manage Risk by Planning 4. Make Risk decisions at the Right Level
3 Levels of ORM:1. In-depth 2. Deliberate 3. Time Critical
In depth ORMTime is not a critical factor and a right answer is required for a successful mission or task.
Deliberate ORMAmple time to apply the risk management process to the detailed planning of a mission or task. examples: training procedures, damage control and emergency response plans.
