Droplet PrecautionsFor flu, pertussis, meningits etc. Wear surgical or isolation mask+standard
Contact PrecautionsFor infections spread by hands or things. MRSA, C. diff, VRE, Wear gown and gloves.
Standard PrecautionsUse for all patients, Hand hygiene, gloves, change gloves, use gown if clothes might get dirty, mask and eye protection if splashy, don't recap sharps, wear mask if patient has symptoms of respiratory infection.
