Medieval Europe

The term was used to describe those outside the Greek and Roman civilisations, especially the peoples who had settled in the Roman Empire around the 4-6th centuries who after the fall of the Empire created several kingdoms. But while the Roman Empire was being destroyed and broken by the Barbarian invasions, the Eastern Roman still gave signs of vitality. Despite its contradictions and lack of consistency, taking into account that it included peoples from territories in Europe, and Africa who were very from one another both in terms of and culture, this empire was in fact destined to remain in existence for another millennium until 1453, the year in which was occupied by the Turks.
