Also known as Teleological Argument

General Idea = Everything in the universe is designed for a purpose and it's complexity/intricacy all points to one designer (God)

William Paley uses analogies the prove God's existence - if a watch needs a watchmaker, then the universe needs a universe maker

Strong Argument because it's based on empirical (physical) evidence

Anthropic Principle - everything in the world is finely tunes for life to exist and flourish so there must be a God to make it perfect for human life

Aesthetic Principle - Life is full of beauty (nature, art, music etc.) which is not always necessary for survival but it makes life more interesting/enjoyable so points to an benevolent God
