Offensive Definitions

Question Answer
At batplate appearance (excluding walks, hit by pitches, and sacrifices)
Hit1st base is reached (excluding fielding errors or fielder's choice)

Pitching Definitions

Question Answer
Winsgames where pitcher was pitching while his team took a lead (that it never relinquished, going on to win)
Lossesgames where pitcher was pitching while the opposing team took a lead (that it never relinquished, going on to win)
Savesgames where the pitcher enters a game led by the pitcher's team, finishes the game without surrendering the lead, is not the winning pitcher**
Innings pitchedouts recorded while pitching divided by three
Strikeoutstimes pitching three strikes to a batter
Winning percentagewins divided by decisions (wins plus losses)
